Our Story

Shop Seeba was founded by Abby, Gurvir, and Manvir—brought together by family, culture, and a shared love for Indian celebration, and shaped by life in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Gurvir and Manvir grew up as first-generation Punjabi Americans, immersed in the traditions, gatherings, and craftsmanship that define Indian weddings and festive life. Abby, coming into the culture through her relationship with Gurvir, was welcomed with warmth and generosity—and quickly fell in awe of the beauty, history, and meaning behind Indian clothing and ceremonies.

Living in the Bay Area—where cultures and communities intersect daily—Abby and her family and friends began attending Indian weddings and celebrations more often. One challenge surfaced again and again: what to wear. Not just where to find an outfit, but how to do so respectfully—understanding which styles suit each event, what they represent, how sizing works, and why these garments are often so costly for something worn once.

We envisioned a place where discovering South Asian clothing feels welcoming and intuitive. Shop Seeba brings together independent boutiques and individual sellers, making it easier to find a new outfit or a previously loved piece for your next celebration.

Sellers share photos, condition videos, measurements, and a sale price so buyers can make informed choices. Buyers send a purchase request, the seller reviews it, and both can use Messages to confirm details and arrange shipping or pickup.

At its heart, Shop Seeba reflects today's world: multicultural friendships, blended families, and shared celebrations. We believe Indian fashion should be worn, appreciated, and accessible—not intimidating or out of reach.
